Forest Hill

Forest Hill is just north of Bel Air and a bit more rural, often offering larger yards, especially in its older subdivisions.  Forest Hill could be considered the gateway to the most rural areas of Harford County, making it an optimal choice for those who prefer a more peaceful residence without giving up convenience.  It is not uncommon to find one and two-acre lots, or even more, without breaking the bank.  You’ll find pride of ownership throughout the neighborhoods and a low crime rating as well.

Like Bel Air, Forest Hill boasts top notch schools and ample recreational sports. Whether your child wants to take swim lessons, riding lessons, dance lessons, play lacrosse, soccer, or baseball, you’ll find them all and more. For outdoor enthusiasts, there is a segment of the Ma & Pa Trail located here, and it even winds through some neighborhoods for easy access – a big plus when house shopping. The trail is conducive to walking, jogging, or bike riding. On a nice day, you will most definitely pass friendly neighbors, dog walkers, and bikers out enjoying the weather on this clearly marked trail.

Forest Hill has a number of parks, some with ponds for fishing or just feeding the ducks. Just outside of Forest Hill lies Geneva Farm Golf Course, a beautiful spot for weddings, a bite to eat, or of course to play a round.

Unlike its neighbor Bel Air, Forest Hill has relatively few apartment complexes and townhome communities. The majority of housing in Forest Hill is single family homes. And if you’re concerned about commute, much of Forest Hill is less than fifteen minutes from I-95 and a beautiful 30-45 minute back roads commute to the I-83 corridor.
